Kalapaki Beach

Christmas 2004, from Lihue, Island of Kauai, State of Hawaii, USA
...

Fragrant handmade flower leis,

Mourning doves perched on the balcony,

Double rainbows arching the waterfalls,

Coral treasures along the sandy cove,

Red crested cardinals among the trees,

Hunky young Hawaiian men,

Graceful palm trees,

Colorful families of free range chickens,

Shimmering golden Awapuli Ula Ula (koi fish),

Stalks of pink jasmine flowers,

Soothing warm tides,

Shoyu sauce on chicken and rice,

Yellow hibiscus growing wild along the roadside,

Shopping sprees for colorful sarongs,

Warm days and balmy nights,

Drum beats at sunset,

White egrets, burnt sienna soil, deep green foliage,

The lullaby of surf at night.

Aloha Lihue. Aloha Kauai.

Mahalo for Kalapaki Beach.
