Living Well with Cancer

The Perfect Day

Today the weather is cold and cloudy.

Threatening rain.

Blustery wind.

Lots of gray clouds.

A dramatic change from the sunshine and gentle breezes of two days ago.

Now it’s cold

and

damp

and

dreary.

A perfect day for a walk along the beach!

I used to make excuses not going out to exercise.

Too windy. Too cool. Too cloudy. Too gray. Too hot. Too humid.

I was the Goldilocks of outdoor exercise.

The weather had to be "just right" before I would venture out!

That was before I was diagnosed.

Now, any day that I can walk outdoors by myself is wonderful!

Any day that I can fill my lungs with fresh air is beautiful!

Any day that I walk outside, without the doctors, without the nurses, free from

the hospital, is a perfect day!
