The
Surgeon
There is something about him that endears him to me.
He kisses my cheek sweetly when we meet,
and bends over to hug me when he leaves my bedside.
He asks to see the new photos of my baby nieces,
and straightens the hospital room to make everything comfortable
for me.
He adores his children and tells me how they have grown.
He sits down near the bedside and wants to listen to how I am
feeling.
He never hesitates or hurries the time he spends with me.
He jokes and teases and makes me laugh.
He is good and sweet and dear.
He works long, hard hours and does so much to help the world.
He has saved my life and countless others.
He is cheerful and kind and caring.
Does everybody love him?
