Patient's Prayer for Patience 

Please provide me with the patience to live productively, even though my stamina is waning,
and my heart feels shadowed by the unpredictability of this disease.

Give me energy to sustain my health for those who need and depend on me.

Use this experience of illness to teach me to be more sensitive to the needs of others.

Grant me a sense of graciousness, so that, evenin the midst of pain and fear, I am kind to others.

Open the eyes of my friends and neighbors so that they might step forward and assist me to the best of their abilities and remind me to do the same, when they are in need.

In Jesus’ name I thank you for any blessings that come my way.

Amen.
