Shower Prayer
(The Busy
Peoples' Prayer!)
Dear Lord,
My days are so busy!
Often the only time I find to pray
is when I am in the shower!
Many responsibilities lie ahead of me today.
Others depend on me at home, at work, and in my community.
Sometimes I feel rushed, pressured, and overwhelmed
by my responsibilities.
Let me take time, here in seclusion,
to thank you for the opportunities
presented to me today.
Thank you for the family I work so hard to care for.
Thank you for the community where I live in peace and safety.
Thank you for the health and intelligence
that allow me to fulfill the tasks ahead of me.
Remind me to take time today for peace and quiet prayers of
thanksgiving to you.
Remind me take time to shut off the phones, TV, radio, pagers
and all the noise and clamor that keep me from thanking you, the
provider of all the blessings in my life.
Guide me to serve you through my busy day in a manner that
honors you. In Jesus' name I pray and thank you for your
blessings. Amen.
