Where the Red Tailed Hawk Flies

Christmas Along the Central Coast

As the holiday season approaches along the Central Coast of California,
six months of annual drought are interrupted by early winter rains.

The bronze landscapes are quickly transformed to lush green hillsides,
incubating next Spring’s precious poppy and lupin wildflower seeds.

Clustered under the sprawling oak trees, cattle dot the hillside,
with wide eyed calves at their sides.

The rough surf along the nearby craggy Pacific coastline beckons those
who will venture out for a brisk walk along the frigid shore.

Spectacular crimson colored sunsets alternate with gray rainy days.
The beauty of these sights and sensations are the holiday gifts that God has given to us.
