Winter Reprieve

 

In mid March the off shore flow brings a short reprieve from the winter rains.

Lush green grasses cover the hills, gently sloping towards the pond.

The quail call out to each from their hiding places underneath the oaks.

The pond reflects nature’s anticipation of spring.
